1. Service Delivery Overview

FortiEncode provides digital media processing and protection services delivered entirely through our cloud-based platform. All services are delivered electronically and are available immediately upon processing completion.

2. Delivery Methods

2.1 Cloud Storage Delivery

Processed media files are automatically delivered to your configured cloud storage:

  • Amazon S3 buckets (your own or our managed storage)
  • Direct download links via our secure CDN
  • API access for programmatic retrieval

2.2 Real-Time Processing Status

You receive real-time updates on processing status through:

  • Web dashboard notifications
  • Email notifications (if enabled)
  • Webhook callbacks to your specified endpoints
  • REST API status queries

2.3 DRM License Delivery

DRM licenses are delivered via secure API endpoints that integrate with your video player. Licenses are generated on-demand and delivered in real-time to authorized devices.

3. Processing Timeframes

Processing times vary based on content length, quality, and current system load:

  • SD encoding: Typically 1-2x the video duration
  • HD encoding: Typically 2-3x the video duration
  • UHD/4K encoding: Typically 3-5x the video duration
  • DRM protection: Near-instantaneous (seconds)

Processing begins immediately upon upload completion. You will receive notifications at each stage of the process.

4. Delivery Confirmation

Once processing is complete, you will receive:

  • Confirmation notification via your preferred method
  • Direct access to processed files in your dashboard
  • Download URLs and API endpoints for integration
  • Processing reports and metadata

5. CDN Distribution

All processed content is automatically distributed through our global CDN network, ensuring fast delivery to end users worldwide. CDN distribution is included in our service and requires no additional configuration.

6. File Availability

Processed files remain available for:

  • As long as your account is active and in good standing
  • Until explicitly deleted by you through the dashboard or API
  • Subject to your storage plan limits

We recommend downloading or backing up important files to your own storage systems.

7. Delivery Failures

In the rare event of a delivery failure, we will:

  • Automatically retry delivery up to 3 times
  • Notify you immediately of any issues
  • Provide alternative delivery methods if needed
  • Refund charges for services that could not be delivered

8. Geographic Availability

Our services are available globally. Content delivery speeds may vary by geographic location, but our CDN network ensures optimal performance worldwide. Some features may be subject to regional restrictions based on applicable laws and regulations.

9. Integration Methods

You can access delivered content through:

  • Web Dashboard: Direct download and management interface
  • REST API: Programmatic access for automation
  • Webhooks: Real-time notifications and callbacks
  • S3 Integration: Direct access to your configured buckets
